Actively replaying our experiences
How often do you remember your experiences?
What are the reasons for reliving your experiences?
Is it because you want to learn from them, feel your emotions again or use them for your success?
Renowned author and coach Marcia Reynolds talks about the concept of Active Replay, which can improve our performance and reach our goals with renewed focus and energy. It takes courage and recognition to acknowledge that we can be better than our past selves.
Why do we look to other people for motivation when we have all the resources we need?
Our life experiences and our daily actions are enough to propel us towards a life of happiness, success and prosperity. Unfortunately, we do not always carry a mirror that we can use to see ourselves in action.
I invite you to do a small experiment today. Take 5 minutes out of your busy schedule and record yourself doing exercise. Take another 5 minutes and record yourself doing your favourite hobby such as singing, dancing or playing an instrument.
Review your videos, and you will be amazed at the insights.
Review your videos, and you will be surprised at how much more you can do.
Actively replaying our actions and making a conscious effort to improve ourselves based on self-feedback is the best way to improve.
Our experiences are our best teachers, and reviewing them from an external source can give us the same feedback we expect from others.
What if you could repeat the process of active replay every day?
What if this was the secret ingredient that you were missing?
What if this is the only thing that matters?
Where do you start:
- Practice daily gratitude and be thankful for your experience and your ability to learn from them
- Practice daily meditation to be more aligned with yourself.
- Practice thinking your thoughts and focusing on what you want.
- Practice active replay and see your life change for the better each day.
