Changing our personal story

Changing our personal story

Whenever we achieve personal success, we always remember the good bits and hardly reflect on things that went wrong.

The stories we tell ourselves and others usually provide context for our next significant achievement.

Our mental models, beliefs and attitudes govern our life and are based on what kind of reality we represent.

An important thing to note is the number of times we take responsibility for our failures, missed opportunities and lost chances.

To grow and move to the next level of our unlimited potential, we have to see, hear and feel our attitudes and actions from a different perspective.

Therefore, when we visualise our life stories and watch them like a movie playing in front of us, we can get insights and feedback to create miracles.

A quick exercise you can do is tell your story of failures to someone you trust. Ask for feedback specifically about when we stopped taking responsibility for our actions.

Just like we need a mirror to see ourselves in action, external feedback on our personal stories can bring the change we need for continued success.

Everyone has a personal story, and the real power is knowing how we utilise it to be successful.
