The Urge to Outrun the Clock

The Urge to Outrun the Clock

Imagine that you have an overnight train to catch and to get back home.

You plan everything, get the cab to the station, and are on your way.

Due to an event, you see people on the streets and find the usual route to the station is blocked.

The cab driver tells you he can get you there via another route.

You do everything possible to outrun the clock, but the train leaves before reaching the station.

What’s your next step?

I assume that you will find another way to get home. Right?

In life, we are always running against time.

We miss many opportunities because time runs out and then give up on our goals and dreams.

Everyone has the same 24 hours daily, but how we use them determines what we achieve.

When our vision is strong, and our desire to reach the destination is powerful, nothing should sway us away from getting there.

Perhaps the universe was telling us that our timing wasn’t perfect last time and that we needed to learn from our previous experience.

Perhaps learning the lesson was more critical than outrunning the clock.

Every day is the beginning of the rest of our lives.

The clock can symbolically act as a guide to help us navigate our priorities to stay away from distractions and keep moving towards our goals and dreams.

What comes to your mind when you think about this message?

What priorities have you set aside because you are busy outrunning the clock?

How will you change your thinking?
