Understanding the truth about being free

Do you remember when you were free from all your worries?

How did it feel when you played a game for fun and weren’t thinking about winning or losing?

Our lives are intertwined with worries, anxieties, regrets, happy moments, goals, dreams, past, present and future.

There is no time when we aren’t thinking about our past experiences or future dreams.

However, living in the moment and just being grateful, thankful and happy is the only thing within our control.

In his book, Karma, Sadhguru talks about people entangling their lives because they become prisoners of our thoughts.

The true meaning of Freedom is always to feel empowered to live happily.

The true meaning of freedom is not to worry about our past.

When we can understand the consequences of our actions, we can build the behaviors needed to fulfill our goals.

On reflecting, do you feel like you’re stuck in your current role or situation?

If that’s the case, you might have to determine whether you want to be free.

We all make many choices during the day, and each time we make a decision, it impacts the rest of our lives.

If you sit in the same chair for lunch or dinner, if you drink the same coffee every day or if you feel uncomfortable changing your schedule, then you are not living freely.

Living within our comfort zones may feel like freedom, but it ends up hurting us in the long run.

The more we resist change, the less likely we will be truly free.

Finding joy and happiness each day, sharing our experiences with others and living a blissful life is the true meaning of freedom.

Our imagination is the best gift that God has given us.

Imagine if you did not have any boundaries compulsions and could ecologically use your choices to impact the world; what would you be, do or have?

Imagine just for today; you could be free from one of your biggest hurdles; what would you do?

What if, just for today, you did not have to set expectations?

What if, just for today, you did not have to live by someone else’s goals?

What if living with freedom is the only thing that matters now?

How do you start:

  • Practice daily gratitude and be thankful for everything in your life.
  • Practice daily meditation to remain in charge of your emotions.
  • Practice thinking your thoughts and focusing on what makes you happy.
  • Practice finding what stops you from being happy and understand what limits you.
