When is the right time to deal with stress

Is there any particular dialogue with friends or family that continues to play in your head?

Is there a specific activity you have been putting off for later that keeps nagging you?

When was the last time you sat down to understand the reason for your stresses?

We all choose to deal with the daily stresses, and we know how to do that. The critical question is whether we know when we want stress gone from our lives. A little bit of stress is good for us because it keeps are going and helps us focus on the most important things. But overthinking and continuously pushing things away for later can take a lot of toll on our minds.

Most of us have busy schedules, and we don’t realize how our energies are used up by the end of the day.

It’s common sense to be wholly rested before strenuous physical activity and the same principles for our mental wellbeing. Like physical strength and energy, our mental strength and power are also limited.

Another interesting fact is that our mental toughness is sacrosanct with our physical fitness. Our bodies have more strength and endurance than we know, and the older we get, the lesser they become.

Each day, stress takes a toll on our minds and body. Every pain or suffering that isn’t caused by an injury is a direct result of stress. Example: headaches, body aches, back aches. Taking pills and medicines for symptoms is a short-term solution, but if you want to resolve them forever, you have to deal with stress now.

No one knows what challenges tomorrow will bring. We only have today, and it is always the first day of the rest of our lives.

All we need is ten minutes from our busy schedule to reflect on our past actions. Finding what helped us move forward, what stopped us and using our learnings is the only way to get better.

Time doesn’t wait for anyone, and all that’s in your power is to use your present to make a better future.

How do you begin:

  • Practice daily gratitude and be thankful for everything you possess
  • Practice daily meditation to remain in charge of your emotions.
  • Practice thinking your thoughts and focusing on what you want most.
  • Practice taking ten minutes each day and focus on your top 3 stressors. What advice would you give yourself?
